Pain relief

As a hands-on healer we have experienced all kinds of reactions to our healing before, from a gentle softening of the facial features to an audible sigh and a much more relaxed posture, or an exclamation of "Oh, I could feel your hands so warm, like burning coals!", "It tingled everywhere!" or "Something kind of went, like a cloud being lifted."

But the most amazing feedback to my healing energy channelling abilities I got a few weeks back when I had a lady on my couch with chronic pain in her lower back and all down her legs. She wriggled about on the couch, not able to find the right position that would alleviate her pain.

After choosing some Bach flower remedies and equipping her energy centres with crystals I started the healing. Her wriggling continued all the way through until I reached her feet. There I focused on the beginning points of her kidney meridians and on increasing the flow up her thighs along the mourning valley in her knee joints and further up the hip. It was not until I reached her Sacral Chakra (which feeds energy into her kidneys) that she gave out a surprised "Oh! My pain is gone!"

She suddenly became very still. For the remaining time of the healing she could now enjoy the process, not being focused anymore of which way to turn. Her smile with which she got off the couch said more than a thousand words.

For these moments, when we can see the effect our channelling can have, we healers live and work for. That's why we meditate and read and go on workshops to improve our knowledge and capabilities - here we can see the result of our work with our very own eyes. That smile made my day, no, it made my weeks! Whenever I doubt my path as a healer, I think back of these enlightening moments of pure joy in the features of one of my clients, and I know that this is the reason why I am doing it - for this smile which comes from the very core of their heart and which reflects their Buddha-nature, the innate and overall goodness of their soul.
